Almastova timber house in Aurlandsdalen, Norway.

The one room structure is about 3.5 x 4.0 meters and is the oldest existing wooden building in Aurlandsdalen. Based on the shape of the timber joints, the house is thought to have been built around 1600.

Phil Sturgeon is correct, Laravel is awesome. However, the above post is more about community and choosing your tools.

Also, no framework can ever be “dead” until its developers stop working and publishing it. CodeIgniter was at risk of this but then the Reactor Team was created. The Reactor team has been doing a good job keeping it going, albeit slowly

You can read a huge range of his quotes in this pdf book here, which is from the site of Steven Heller. Whether you like his work or not, Paul Rand was undoubtedly intelligent and wise. This quote pretty much sums up graphic design, and why it is so difficult.

I think I’m ready to discuss Git submodules. My chronic problem with submodules is that I don’t use them often enough to understand how they work. From what I gather, you can do a lot more than what I’ll cover, but I’m only interested in just placing a repo in a repo.
